13-5-2009 - 34wk check

My mood while writing this blog: uncomfortable

hello ladies! sorry i have not been on in some time but i got hooked on the twilight series books and spend all my time reading them. i am done with them so should be around more. felicity saw the urology spec. and she said that the enlarged kidneys seem to be normal probably that was since birth. as for her not emptying her bladder she thinks that is from an over active bladder and will most likely need med to help it and prevent infections. she is on an antibiotic now as she has an infection. thankfully felicity has not pain or anything that would let you know she has an infection. we go back june 9 to see how she is doing and put her on meds. as for me i had my 34wk check yesterday. all was good. i had protein in my urine but bp was good. i have an abscessed tooth which is why i think the protein is there. i go next wed to get it fixed. and unfortunatly the dentist are afraid of me since i am pregnant. so they have not given me an antibiotic or pain killer to help. they are only doing a partial root canal to releive the pain but will not finish it until after i have the baby. this suchs as my midwife has given me a paper saying it is ok for me to have antibiotics and tylenol with codiene. the reason they do not want to finish the root canal is they don't want to take x-rays. the midwife also states that those are ok as long as i have the protective sheild on. so everyone is being safe. i am happy for that but at the same time. me having an infection and being in pain is not good for baby either. so i would rather get the root canal and get the infection out. i have been feeling awful. my body aches and i am tired so i don't know if that is the lack of sleep lately or the infection. and on top of it i can't eat much as it hurts. i already lost 1 1/2lb at my appt yest so no i have only gained 5lb from my starting wgt. i so hope baby comes out ok. well i think that is it. i go back to midwife in 2wks so i hope the protein is better since my infection should be at least better. if anyone else has had issues with their tooth while pregnant please let me know about it. thanks

I am glad to hear Felicity is doing better!! I am glad it is something that they can treat!!! I can imagine you are getting to the uncomfortable point...boy I remember that vividly since it has only been 3 months!! I hope these next few weeks go quickley for you and I will think of you!!!
