11-6-2009 - labor?

My mood while writing this blog: pain, exhausted and excited

yesterday morning i woke up with some contractions that were about 3-4mins apart lasting 30-50sec in my back and belly. i also have been having loose bms which i do in early labor. i talked to the midwife and she said since they are short they are most likely not doing much. so i stayed home as it is a 45min drive and they stopped after 3hrs. i did have some more throughout the day but not consistant. so today i woke up this morning and same thing happened. but they were further apart. about 8-10mins apart but the also lasted longer. but pain is only in my low back. so i thought i want to get checked today to see what is going on. the midwife said i was 2cm and 80% effaced. baby turned posterior so that is why it is taking so long and it hurts good already. she told me to come home and gave me some tips so baby will hopefully turn around so he/she can fit in my pelvis better and make my cervix dialate better. i have taken a nap as even though it is not active labor what contractions i have been having are painful and wear me out. i think i have officially lost my mucus plug which i have never seen before. it was pretty gross. i still get contractions here and there but they are lighter. this is frustrating. with my other 3 it was easy to tell and quick. this is taking so long. i was happy just staying pregnant for a few weeks yets. and it seems as if baby would turn the right way i would be moving much quicker. this being my 4th is not to take so long. i am 38wk and 3days which would be the earliest i have gone with any of my kids. well, i hope to be writing in a few hours that i have had my baby. have a great weekend.
