| 06-1-2010 - esme 6 months | My mood while writing this blog:blessed |
well esme is actually going to be 7 months in just a few days! I just cant seem to figure out where the time is going! since she is my last i am trying to savor every moment as much as i can, but time is just going so fast i feel like i am not getting to do that. she is growing very well. at her check up last week she was 18lbs 7oz and 26 3/4in. so she gained 3lbs but slowed in hgt and only grew an inch. she is sitting up by herself for a few weeks. she rolled over one day and then a few days later was sitting unassisted. she does not like her being on her belly so i am not sure if she is going to crawl. when i put her on she cries right away. she does however love to stand so i have a feeling she may just skip crawling and go straight to walking. my other children did crawl first so this would be diferent. she is babbling and smiling and laughing. and when she sees her siblings she gets excited and kicks her feet. she still won't take a bottle so i can't leave her. so she is still nursing but gets one meal of rice cereal with 1/2 jar of fruit/veggie at supper. i am going to be giving her the other half of her jar food for lunch in the next few days. she has a cold so that is why i am waiting. she has a bad sounding cough for a few days. thankfully no fever. i think it is funny a cold has her pretty sick but when she had the flu with us in oct she had a fever for 1 day and then she was better. i can't complain as this is only her second illness. and as i said the first was not that bad and this one could be worse. ethan had his tonsils out in the beginging of dec. he did ok. i think felicity did better then he did but thankfully it is over and he will hopefully be sick less or at least heal quicker and sleep better. the dr said he could not believe how big they were. they all had a good christmas. we have been having snow and flurries a lot this year. no global warming this year! lol i am so ready for spring. well i think that is it. i hope you all are finding yourself well. God bless
