17-2-2010 - esme 8months

My mood while writing this blog: blessed

hello ladies! i am sorry to not have been on much. i started reading another book series and i check my facebook a bit more. i am doing great! we have had 2 good snow storms so now i am ready for spring. i let esme play with some snow that i put on her high chair tray. she didn't seem to mind the cold of it and was really fascinated with it. she is getting so big. she turned 8 months on v-day. she is about 19lbs and to my suprise she is almost on her hands and knees. i thought she would skip crawling as she hates to be on her belly. she still is not wild about it but she is getting better so she had started pushing up on her hads and is lifting her butt. i am so proud of her. she does not have any teeth yet but i can feel bumps today where her 2 bottom teeth will be coming so i think it should be shortly. she also is eating some table food. she is learning the chewing thing pretty good. and she loves whip cream! lol i have been trying to make my own baby food. my fruit is homemade and my veggies i have squash and carrots. i have given her table peas, green beans, carrots and potatoes. she is still nursing mostly as i only give her 2 meals a day. she still wakes up at night as well. she had a schedule that she has mostly made up. it is nice to have a schedule. she still does not take a bottle. i have started her on a cup so i can have her drinking out of something when i go out which my hubby and i talked we need to do more. she has been so needy of me that we don't get to go out. we took her with us the one day but that is not nice for us to spend time together. she does not like to have me out of her sight. when we go out for 2-3hrs she cries for my mil. i hate to have either of them deal with that. so i am trying to make it every 3-4 wks. i am going to bring her crib in our bedroom so that i can try to lay her in there at night at least till i go up to bed. i do love to sleep with her but i do want to be able to put her down when she is sleeping so i can get stuff done. she is just so sweet and am so in love with her. she is very talkative as well. she is doing great!! i could just talk about her all day! she is such a blessing to our family. her siblings adore her as well!! i am a blessed woman to have a wonderful family! God is good!!!
