So, I went to my 38 week appointment today and I saw a different doctor other than my midwife. The doctor had no problem checking me for dilation and effacement. So, it turns out that all those BH contractions and pain the last week has done a little something and I'm 1cm. dilated and 50% effaced!
I'm really happy about that. I know that I can still go 2 weeks overdue, but when I asked, she said she can see my little guy coming before Christmas! I hope so!
I went on a long hike today with my dog. I walked around for an hour...trying to get things moving down there!
I'm so excited that things are coming together! I can't put on my socks anymore...and I feel like a fat old lady when I try and sit down in the bath AND I had an accident in my pants today and didn't even know it! HAHAHAHA! I'm so ready!

Congrats on the big 1cm!! I know it feels like an accomplishment! I went for my 38 week appt and I was 1 cm and 60% effaced and at station -1. But my doctor doesn't want to induce me on the 19th! and then he is leaving on the 21 for Christmas vacation, so if this little one doesn't hurry it up them i'm going to be stuck with some random on-call doctor!

Are you sure that accident was not your water breaking? Has it happened again. Remember that doctors typically want the baby out within 24 hours of your water breaking to reduce the risk of infection. Be careful and remember to take lots of pictures at the hospital :)

I know how you feel, I have the hardest time shaving my legs and I have been wearing slip-on shoes cause I can't reach! I actually had my little sister paint my toenails the other day cause there was no way I could do it! That's cool you have started dilating, could happen soon hopefully!! I wish you luck!!

lol i am so feeling you with the fat old lady vibe. i dont mind waiting if i go two weeks over. i just dont want him to be too big and i so dont want to gain anymore weight...lol i am ready to put my size 28 Hudson jeans back on;)
