here is a link to information that i found on this site about it, but i will blog later with more info and more links, I went to the ER friday evening to find out on Sat evening that i have uterine fibroids! Just wondering if anyone else has had this and can tell me their experience with it.
Did find out that the baby is healthy and doing fine, I just have to be watched and have alot of sonograms done throughout the rest of my pregnancy. I was able to hear the heartbeat 3 different times ---160 BPM and get 5 more songram pics :) with one of them the baby was waving to us..hahaha.. the baby was very active during both the sonogram and when they were trying to find the heartbeat. will write more late with my
wonderful..NOT!!! 24 hour experience in the ER.

I also have uterine fibroids....and although they are 'large' tehy were not identified til after the birth!!!!!!!!! Caused no problems during pregnancy!

I found out I had multiple fibroids at my 12 weeks scan. Even though they were large (by the end of teh pregnancy 10 of them ranged from 5cm to 10 cm!) and I had to have lots of monitoring, it's all come out good int he end. My lovely boy was born at the end of October and is absolutely fine. Don't be afraid to ask questions and demand the best treatment.

I have uterine fibroids and they have not caused any large issues throughout my pregnancy albeit i also have had ultrasounds every 3-4 weeks up until towards the end of my pregnancy. They wanted to ensure the baby was growing properly and watch the fibroids. Sure enough the baby is fine and the fibroids are just there and a little bigger.
It is good that you will be watched throughout the pregnancy along with the baby. Don't worry, research and ask any questions you may have!
