12-2-2009 - IT'S A GIRL!!!

My mood while writing this blog: TO HAPPY 4 WORDS!!

So starting out with my appt that was on the 9th! I got to hear the heartbeat again, the dr. asked me if i had any questions, i didnt really. I told her that i had spoke w/ the receptionist there about 3 weeks b4 asking if at my next appt (which was the 9th) i would be given orders to have my sonogram done to find out the sex. she said they normally wait until 20 week, as of 2mrw i will be 19 wks, i told her that i was leaving for vac.fri and i wanted to find out b4 i left so that i could go shopping since i had some spending $. she told me that she would write the orders for me and i was able to pick the day, so after getting her to agree to 18 wks and 6 days she wrote the orders for me :) she also measured my stomach and said that i am measuring big for how far along i am, she said that was because of my fibroids. she also told me that she wanted to have another sonogram ordered b4 i have the baby.. so that made me happy. plus i was planning on going up the road 2 have the 3d/4d sonogram done, so i hope to get lots of pics. my next drs appt is scheduled for 3.9.09!! yay.. so i called the hospital to set my appt for the 12th for the sonogram, but the lady that answered was kinda snotty and said that the 12th was booked, and i asked when the next opening was , and she said the 18th..so i def did not want to wait.. it would have really been the 26th for us so that my hubby would be able to go w/ me. so i was able to get an appt at 3:45 at the medical center that was the 2nd option that the dr. offered besides the hospital, i called the drs office back to have them change the orders to the medical center location and they mailed me out the orders that i needed. so when i called the medical center they told me to drink 24 oz. of h20.. which during the whole day i drank a large cup of sweet tea, a large cup of h20, got home b4 the appt and drank 3 large cups of h20 and some OJ.. b4 i even left the house i could not hold it and used the bathrrom like 3 times, im sure that did not empty my baldder completely because i still had to go. i drank another large cup of h20 the car ride there and by the time i got there i had to go to the bathroom again. i got there and said i was using the bathroom, the lady behind the desk got my hubbys attention and told him to get me, she told me that i could not go to the bathroom and that if i did i would not be able to have the sonogram done, and that i would need a full bladder.. so good thing it didnt take long at all 4 me to get called back..i got back there and told the tech i wasnt for sure how long i could hold my bladder.. lol!! so she started to do the sonogram, not talkative at all... other than asking me if i had a fibroid, i told her i had 3 of them.. so she takes some pics & measurements of them, after about 3 mins or so she stopped and told me that i could empty my bladder..thank god! so i get back and she continues to do the sonogram...she takes tons of other pics and types stuff on the screen , half of which i had no idea what they were...the whole time still she doesnt really say anything. i guess they do say it depends on the tech how ur sonogram goes, hopefully when i go for my next 1 i will get someone that tells me what everything is, even though some stuff i could make out on my own..the whole time no word of boy or girl.. she gets close to the end and says i'm almost done. i saw the baby waving again, and she got shots in between the legs but never mentioned anything..so i saw a empty space in between the legs, and i was saying to myself the whole time..this has to be a girl!! she takes a few more pics, got some good shots of the whole body on the screen, at the end she says ok u are done.. but never says the sex,. my MIL &SIL were in there w/ me at that point and i asked the tech did you happen to see what the sex was, and she says oh yeah it's a girl.. i was thinking to myself.. it would have been nice if u said something while u were doing the sonogram, being that is the reason that i was there anyways.. so overall the experience was not the best, but hey at least i found out. my friend went to the 3d/4d that i want to go to and said they talk to you alot and are really personable..so that should be a better experience. the tech gave me 2 pics of the babys profile.. but no pics of between the legs shot..so hopefully i get some next time. but hey i got my baby girl, i sensed it from day 1....now really let the shopping begin! i will be doing my registry soon and getting started on painting the babys room! yay! i have a name picked out.. but im keeping it shhhhhhh! well at least online 4 now anyways...

so at the end i ride home with my MIL &SIL and my hubby said that he was going to Belk and said that he was going to be real quick going to get a new pair of jeans, and i told him that i would ride w/ him..he says no because he knows that i will stay in there 4ever.. so he gets home all smiles and take out of the bag a little onesie outift w/ cupcakes all over it and it came w/ a bib that said "daddy's little cupcake"..it is the cutest thing ever.. i should have known that he was up to something. so i call my friend to tell her what he got... she started crying just thinking about everything.. so of course i start crying.. haha.. a mess! but it was def. a good day, will write everything in my baby journal later.
