08-3-2009 - Friday and Sat Blues

My mood while writing this blog: better!!

So Friday I went in for my NST (non-stress test) feeling just fine, actually it was a really good day till i got to the hospital for that test. I didnt really know what to expect as it as my first time doing that test so the babies did fine on the test but apparently the contraction monitor said I was having steady contractions about 1-2 min apart and was dialated 1 cm. I didnt feel em just a minor tightening in my abdomen but seemed normal to me. well i got a shot to stop the contractions and then they found a UTI so they sent me home with bed rest, a prescription to stop contractions, and macrobid for the UTI. Ok that was friday. SO i took my meds every 4 hours as they told me but at about 4 am when i took my dose of the contraction med my heart area starts feeling tight and my left arm was really weak. I just tried to go back to sleep when i got up for the 8 am dose it was not any better. At about 11 it still hadnt gone away so i called the doc office and got through to a doc who told me to drink more water and space the meds to every 6 hours... OK so did just that and at 2pm when it was time for me take it again I still didnt feel any better... So i called again and he told me i was prob hyperventalating and for me breath into a bag for a while and if i wasnt having contractions to not take the meds anymore, so i did and i felt a lil . I tried to sleep for a while but then i woke up feeling the same and decided it was too long to be feeling like that so i went to the ER at about 5pm. They were quick they did an EKG, x-rays, blood work, and urine analysis. After 3 hours of being there on monitors and such they tell me everything is fine they cant find anything. So i left the ER feeling no better but no worse. At least i had peace of mind that nothing was really wrong with me. They told me if it got worse to head back. So the pain didnt go away. I had my bf go get me a wedge pillow to support my tummy and drank lots of water and went to sleep. I woke up this morning feeling better just a lil soreness in my chest. I figure it just took a while to get that medication out of my system. Thank God it wasnt anything serious and the babies are just fine. BUT boy did it hurt.

Now its sunday and at least the worse part of it all is I'm on bed rest.

Its sure was a strange friday and saturday.
