28-5-2009 - 33 weeks and less movement? worriedMy mood while writing this blog:
worried

Guys Im super worried and I was wondering if you guys had or have the same thing happening to you? Im 33 weeks and 4 days and since Saturday which was my baby shower, My baby girl has not been moving too much. I was up on my feet all day and for the past couple days I have been getting the nursery ready and putting stuff away. I really hadnt relax much. I called my drs office and told the nurse about the less movement and she said its normal because my girl is running out of room. I have a monitor and her hb is good its somewhere around 140. Please let me know if this is normal? Thank you guys!

Everyone is saying its normal, but It never hurts to go to labor an delievery and get monitored! It will ease you mind. (but I am paranoid about movements!!)

I would say thats normal. It scared the crap out of me too though! Now she pushes more than she punches and kicks. Which the stretching is NOT fun either! Atleast you have a heart monitor!!! That would be very helpful on the days when I get a little worried.

When I was 33 weeks my baby didnt move that much but this week she cant keep still. So I would say it's normal.

I wouldn't worry too much hun!! My baby does it too me all the time and it freaks the crap out of me but it's just sleeping lots!! Once I try and wake it up then I get some movements. Not big movements but there still there plus I have the doppler too so i know everything is ok anyways :) Hope this helps.

Same thing happened to me, i had a few days at about your stage when i felt nothing from my baby. Everyone was trying to reassure me that it's normal, due to the lack of space but i felt so anxious and upset. Then at about 36 weeks he started giving me the odd big kick ( think that was him getting into position for his big debut) I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry, if her heartbeat is normal, i'm sure she's just feeling a little squashed. ( i've posted some new pictures of my wee guy on my page, have a look when you've got a few mins, cant believe he's 1 month old already) x

I know they say that our babies now spend 90-95% of the time sleeping, due to the crazy amount of brain cells and last min. touches develpoing. As long as that heart beat is fine I wouldn't worry.

slowed movements are totally normal. I know I don't really feel my little girl move that much anymore but as soon as we go to the doctors and they put any machine on me she is all over the place. If you are feeling less the six movements in a hour then it is time to go get checked out. If you don't feel the movements try drinking a cold glass of milk and laying on your side for a bit.

I think my little man is lazy at times...no matter how hard I try sometimes he just does not wanna move until he is ready! I am sure they r def runnig out of room....I would relax and chill out...if u listen with ur doppler can u hear him in there moving...I know sometimes i can hear him wave his hands or something and hear it moving jist not feel it. Hope ur baby starts moving more for u! :)

On thursday, friday, and saturday last week my baby was the same way. It was not moving as often and the kicks were alot lighter. I was getting kinda worried too but now it seems like the baby is moving good again. I was about as far along as you. I agree that it is b/c they are running out of room and also I think my baby was in a different position than it had been and was more comfy. Don't worry too much.....it will probably pass and if movement stops all together get to the hospital but if your still feeling her everything is probably just fine. If you continue to feel too worried call your doc and they can do a non-stress test on you and the baby....they have to hook you up to monitors (around your belly) and they monitor the baby's heartrate and movements for about an hour. Oh also during my first pregnancy my daughter almost stopped moving all together for about 2 weeks. I was a wreck. They did about 3 non-stress tests on me and they all were good. She would move and kick the bands but as soon as I went home she would quit moving. Anyway it lasted for about 2 weeks and then she started moving again. So I know how you feel....it can drive you crazy. I'll be praying for you guys and let me know when she gets her wiggle back :)

Well if the heartbeat is normal I would say it's normal. I know my son slowed down for a little bit but he is back up and running again. If you feel that it's just not normal then don't chance it and go to L&D to get monitered...
