17-11-2011 - Mason 6 months old

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

My sweet baby is 6 month old, has two teeth and sits unassited! Where has time gone? Wow! Still going strong with nursing! Not a single drop of formula yet. :) I am very proud of myself considering w Gavin I quit after about 5 weeks.

I was miserable for about a month w Mason. When he turned 5 months, he started teething and cried and whined all day long. If he wasn't sleeping or nursing, he was crying. I was literally going crazy/depressed. I am glad that is over and he is back to his happy self!

We started cereal at 4 1/2 months. He did great, so we started stage one foods and now we are on stage 2 already! He's had pretty much everything. We also tried the sippy cup and he does great with it!! ( I wanted to start early cuz we had a hard time with Gavin. He didn't like drinking out of one til about 15 months!)

Sleeping is going good. I still feed him once during the nite and we cuddle, then back to the crib he goes. ( I dont wanna create a bad habit, like we did with Gav. He still needs me to lay down w him to go to sleep!)

He loves playing on the floor with all his toys. Loves tummy time now too. He isnt too fond of his jumper. He will go in it for about 10 min and then he wants out asap. Gavin was a little diffrent, he liked it.

He babbles like crazy. He responds to his name and just yesterday he started clapping his hands. :) Which I think is pretty early for him to do. I dont think gav started clapping til like middle of 7 months, but then again every baby is diffrent!

We have a doc appt soon for his 6 month check up. Hes a bigger baby so we will see how much he has grown since he 4 month appt! All I know, hes much bigger then the average baby! he sits 9 months clothes and soon I will start putting 12 months on him! :)
