My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
OK - So Gavin is now close to 14 months and he is smiley, happy and loving, but he isn't the most perfect baby either. I was just wondering on how you ladies discipline your toddlers? Gavin is whiney and likes to hit sometimes and throw objects. I tell him that its not nice and mommy doesn't like when you hit or throw, etc. Thats it hurts and he wouldn't like if someone hit him or threw something at him. But they are still too young to understand that completely, so I just want some advice and wanna know what you ladies do in situations like this?
Thanks! xo

Monday, 28 Dec I would punish my son when he was younger by taking away things or putting him in time out. My son was really really bad and he eventually got the hang of things. I actually broke down in tears in front of him one time and I think that really hit home with him. I also would actually use a lot of the tactics Super Nanny used LOL They work. Getting down to their eye level and using a very firm voice letting him know thats NOT ok. If you keep working on it he will start to understand. Plus he may get tired of being in time out or getting his toys taken away. Cherryb0m -
Saturday, 26 Dec little elizabeth is almost 19 months old. when she gets really whiny she is usualy really tired or doesnt feel good. she just wants "mommy attention" so i'll sit and play with her or find a yummy snack or maybe put on one of her favorite movies and sit with her. when she is being bad and hitting, ect... i tell her thats not nice and ignore the bad behavior. if she throws things i just take them away and if she cries she cries. she is usually a pretty good baby unless she is getting tired mommy-to-Noah-and-Runa -
Saturday, 26 Dec my little man is 13 months and doing the same things. Generally, I put him down and ignore him when he hits and whines. It doesn't seem to help much. If you find something that works let me know LOL. Otherwise at least you know you aren't the only one with no clue what to do here. :)
