04-6-2008 - 38 weeks exhaustedMy mood while writing this blog:
exhausted

Had a doctor's appt on Friday. Went well, short but well. Baby is still floating meaning he hasn't dropped into my pelvis yet, I'm still tightly closed. No dialation. I'm just effacing, cervix is thinning. I'm 60% effaced. But typical first time moms (granted not one pregnancy is the same) efface first and don't start dialating until the first stage of labor. So I've just got to be patient. Granted I'm not horribly massivly dreadfully uncontrolably uncomfortable, so whenever baby is ready I will be too. I mainly just feel bad for baby, he has very quickly ran out of room in my tummy so as much as I love being able to tell the difference between a leg movement or an arm twist I am just reminded how smooshed he is... poor thing.
Dr says that cutting back to 20hrs of work a week probably saved me to my due date. I feel better for sure, I still get contractions but they aren't as frequent. They are stronger but not as frequent. Good Good.
My feet started to swell, seems like only when I'm on them for long periods of time and only on the hot days. I'm keeping up on my liquids and clearing away from extra sodium to help keep them down. I tell you what though I didn't know how bad it hurts to walk on swollen feet. Ouchie!
We're trying to get the nursery all settled and ready, just got another 6 boxes of 0-9 months clothes from our friend Jaime. So the nursery is cluttered again and I've got a lot more laundry to do again. Need to get more baby hangers and storage boxes. Maybe I'll pick those up tomorrow.
Anyway later gator! I'll post again after next dr appt for the next update. Belly love to all.
