My mood while writing this blog:
NOT IN PAIN ANYMORE

OMG Thursday & Friday was hell for me... I woke up Thur with an extreme toothache! I had a root canal done 5 years ago on my bottom left tooth (far back). I had the crown fall off and thought maybe that triggered it. Well when u get a root canal u have no nerves there anymore so I knew there was something more to this. I was taking tylenol and rubbing orajel all over the area in pain and NOTHING was helping. It got really bad Friday and prior to that I was up all night. I finally called a dentist (I'm new to this area) and was able to get in that day. They told me i was suffering from a major infection and needed a root canal asap on my 2nd to last tooth, bottom left! Mind you I have no insurance at the moment and was discouraged for even wanting to call. But I couldn't take it anymore! Well, good news is I am pain free. Bad news is the work they did looks like crap. I had a filling done on the infected tooth done years ago and all you see now is half filling and half chalky like covering the remainder. They didn't tell me to come back or anything. I paid $ 630.00 to get this done. I think they gave me a temporary when i should be informed to go back and get a crown. That's how it usually works, right? And the dentist told me they were going to put a crown on the old root canal i had done just to make sure nothing bad happens, and they didnt do anything. I noticed all this when i got home yesterday. I was the last patient and they were closing, so I think they rushed me out? I think I am owed a little more than this. $630.00 is alot... what do you think? I would really appreciate your advice and comments about this. I feel like i was taken for a ride.

Hey Girly,Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I'd def call them or go back in. They know they screwed you over. My dentist is the best. If she does something and it doesn't feel right to me I can go in for an adjustment. I have Medicaid insurance and she doesn't treat me bad because of that either. I've seen her for everything and anything and she takes care of me just fine.
