06-4-2008 - The story so far!

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Well! were do i start! im currently 25 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my first child!.

At the beggining- Late october- Started to feel a bit sick and i was in bed for 7 oclock every night ! which wasnt like me at all. Check my period dates and i was a week late. So brought to digital tests with the husband and decided to take them . The first test i left it on the side for 10 mins and didnt look at first then o get the husband to look and he look and said! It says pregnant!! I cried and didnt believe it! So i went staight to the toliet and did another one and with in 10 seconds it said pregnant! - We decided not to say anything untillwe had it confirmed by the doctor. One problem ! i was going out with my girl friends the next night and have NEVER drove and always drank! So when i showed up in my car they smelt a rat! I had to tell a little lie and say i was on anti biotics so couldnt drink! Another problem for me was work i work in a male prison so had to try my best to scive and keep away from dangerous situations!

-Got in to the doctors a few days later who confimed i was 5 weeks pregnant! I still felt it was to early to tell anybody at work but the danger of the job put me in a predicurment.

- 6 weeks-Telling the parents! My husbands mum was so happy she burst out crying , it will be her first grandchild!. My mum was also very happy but thought i would never have kids !! So she was in shock! MY dad played it cool! "oo i thought there was something serious up?!"

-9 weeks - Been feeling so ill i couldnt get out of bed- went to the doctora and said i have thoart and chest infection- gave a course of antibiotics and a 2 week sick note.

-11-weeks -Back at work and time to tell them im pregnant- News went down quite well-people were releieved that i wasnt just lazy! NOt allowed prisoner contact now so office job from now on.

12- week scan- Went for our first scan-suddenly felt really real! I AM PREGNANT! They told me i was only 10 weeks and 5 days so put me back a week and a half

14-weeks -FOr the past fortnight been waking up 3 or 4 times a night SSOOOO thirsty and banging head, went to doctors who sent me to the hopsital , they diagnosed me as having type 1 diabetes. They dont think it is gestational because it is to early , it dosnt nromally show till 24 weeks. Now only insulin 4 times a day :-( One positive side is i get more scans than everyone else!

20- weeks -Went for my scan and decided to ...... shh its a secret. ha ha

22- weeks -admitted to hospital for having contant headaches, diziness and so tired. All tests done all fine, heard baby heart beat was fine

24- weeks -got a phonecall from Doctors- test results come back from dibetes clinic on monday and i have Anemia now! I hope i will start feeling a bit better now! xxx
