Friday, 22 Jan I think close family can be told, but every one else can hold off a little while longer. Apart from work, I would think they will need to know so you can be out of anything dangerous :o) xx Sheila33 -
Wednesday, 20 Jan Definitly tell work straight away- I would think by going through Human Resources and your manager you can keep it confidential if you don't want everyone knowing yet. Family and Friend- tell when ever you feel you would like them to know! Amalthea -

Wednesday, 20 Jan I told everyone (even though I know you shouldn't) right after I came back from my first dr's appointment. heidismummy -
Wednesday, 20 Jan i would tell work. i told work with my last pregnancy and so when i had a miscarriage they knew it wasnt made up and they let me have paid time off, got me some flowers etc. With family its a more difficult one, as when i have told early i then miscarried but when i stayed quiet till 10 weeks everything seemed to go okay. for me when i started showing (which was around week 9 -10) and people started asking, thats when i decided to tell work and then tell my family members. however i have not told my extended family members as i think perhaps wait till the scan to tell them. decisions, decisions! im sure they will be very happy whenever you decide to announce! best of luck and congrats on your news! Wednesday, 20 Jan Deffo tell work - it's a safety issue for you. As for family, I would wait till the first scan unless they ask you outright and then say you are. I am superstitious myself but only because of my history.
