| 30-3-2009 - Doc appt today | My mood while writing this blog:could use a nap. haha |
Well, everything is going well. My doctor told me that my baby weighs bettwen 3 and 3 1/2lbs right now and he is estimating that the baby will weigh between 7 and 7 1/2lbs around his due date. I am measuring 1 week ahead though which only means that this might not be a June baby but an "END OF MAY, BABY!" which is fine with me :) Doc said he actually hopes that the baby comes a week or so early so I will have an easier time giving birth.
I'm going to buy the baby's careseat this weekend. I have to order it online because the one I want isn't in stores. Just trying to finish getting everything ready before the baby gets here.
I most likely WILL not be having a baby shower for this pregnancy. I had my daughter 3 1/2 years ago and I had a shower for her. My mom ended up throwing it for me. I'm not asking her to throw me another shower either. Some people say you should only have a shower for your first pregnancy but then there are people who has multiple baby showers for 1 pregnancy and then those who have showers for every pregnancy. In my opinion I think its great to have a shower for each pregnancy, especially if your kids are born a few years apart and ESPECIALLY if your babies are two different genders! Showers aren't just to get gifts, its a celebration for the expecting mother and the baby.
Anyway, I'm not bothering anyone to have a shower for me and I don't think its right to plan your own baby shower.
