My mood while writing this blog: Happy but wondering what to do... |
Sooo, Sunday will be me and my dh's 1st anniversary. We are driving to Bloemfontein on Friday since my best friend is getting married on Saturday (by the way, she caught the bouquet at my wedding, lol). Now, I have been real conflicted for a while now. My best friend is having her bachelorette party on Wednesday and I REALLY want to be there, but dh says there is to many things to do on the farm, he can't leave before Friday. So I have been nagging him constantly.
Now, tonight he suggested that I drive down on Wednesday morning with my own car. Then I can visit my mother a bit longer and also go to the kitchen tea! Then he will drive down with his mother and father on Friday (they are going to visit my sisters-in-law). I am sooo exited but I'm feeling a bit guilty as well. I don't like being away from my dh and it is actually a waste to drive down with 2 cars.
But I am thinking that I am going to indulge myself. I haven't seen my friends for such a long time and it gets really lonely on the farm sometimes. I also miss my mother terribly.
Thank you for reading and hope you all are well. It feels like I know everyone of you through reading your blogs and messages!
Good Night!

Wednesday, 25 Mar I also think it is good for you to go! We often end up driving to places in two cars so that we can work things easier for both parties! I can understand you want to go, but that this time of the year could bring about a lot of work on the farm. It is really good that he acknowledges that you want to go! You must enjoy your wedding. How far is Stella from Bloem? (More correctly - near to what bigger town is Stella?) I know North West a bit - went to Potch Varsity! Just drive carefully - those "platteland" roads can be a bit dicy! south african mommy -
Monday, 23 Mar Absolutely go! He will probably feel guilty if you don't, and besides, during pregnancy so much of what you do centers around the baby that you deserve a little mommy time too. Just wait until you are laboring with your baby. It will be his turn to appreciate just how wonderful you are! Have a great time hun... GeoS -
Monday, 23 Mar Your DH is really nice! Take the opportunity to spent some time with your mother and your friend and just keep reminding your hubby how special he is. RainbowRach -
