My mood while writing this blog: Peacefull and Lazy |
So... In my last blog I wrote about my dh saying I can drive up to my hometown on my own a few days before him. Well, here's what followed:
Tuesday morning I got up still wondering what to do but I decided to get everything ready in case I decided to go. So I was busy all day doing the laundry, etc. At about 16h00 I was going to get the last batch from the washing machine, when I heard a bug trying to go out the closed window. I walked over to open the window for the poor thing to get out, but the window was stuck so I had a hard time opening it. Suddenly I keep hearing this hissing sound but at 1st I don't register. Then something told me to look down and there it was: A giant SNAKE!!!! About 1/2 a meter from me, ready to strike! (From my description, dh says its something like a copper cobra)
Somehow I kept my cool, at least for then. I was alone on the farm and I knew my husband was working on the other farm about 30km away, so I called my neighbour to come and help me.
It was about then that I decided that I would defnitely drive up to Bloemfontein the next day. I was feeling so uncomfortable in my own house and I was constantly double checking every step I took, so I thought it might do me some good to get out of the house for a couple of days.
On Wednesday I left and attended my best friends kitchen tea that night. She was so happy to see me she couldn't stop crying, so it was defnitely worth it. I got to spend Thursday and Friday with my mother and Friday when my dh came, we had a braai with some friends.
Saturday was the wedding and my friend looked so lovely. We sat at a table with some of my old school friends and had a really good time. Only thing bothering me, was that no one who didn't know could notice that I was pregnant! And the people who knew, couldn't believe that I was already almost 5 months.
Then on Sunday, it was our 1st aniversary. I got a load of easter eggs (2 weeks before easter LOL), which I simply LOVE and we went out for some breakfast before driving home.
Overall it really was a hectic week, with some good and a little bad. My stepmom and 12 year old brother is coming to visit me for a week, starting this Saturday, so that should be fun.
Okay, I've already written too much so I'll say goodbuy for now.
Hope you all have a great day!

Thursday, 2 Apr Well hun, it surely was an interesting week. I admire your self control. A snake? For god's sake I love reptiles (weird I know) but not that much so as to stay cool in such a situation. Glad you had some good time with friends and family, I miss that, though family is quite close I don't get to see them much because I work long hours.
