12-5-2009 - 27 Weeks today!

My mood while writing this blog:
Bored...

So, I am 27 weeks pregnant today, yesterday was exactly 3 months to my due date and I am now officialy in the 3rd trimester! I haven't really been having any pg symptoms for the last 3 months, except for the growing belly! A stranger finally noticed that I am pregnant this weekend. I was wearing a tight fitting shirt and the lady just made my day! I think my belly is still rather small but everything else is getting bigger. I need to buy some new outfits but the weather is changing now so I want to try to wait a bit longer.

I have been getting rather upset with dh lately, but I think we had a break through this weekend. It seemed to me that he hasn't really been trying to connect with our baby and it was making me rather depressed. So, we kind of had a fight and he said that he feels stupid touching my belly all the time and especially talking to it. Then I told him that I think it means more to me than to the baby and I don't need him to talk to the baby if it makes him uncomfortable, but he really needs to talk to me. He's been a lot better since and I even got a gift book on mothers day. It was really sweet since I weren't expecting anything at all. I know I haven't exactly been the easiest person to live with the last while! Well, I'll blame it on the hormones!

It makes me feel so much better to know that my baby now has a chance to survive if she should be born, but I am still praying for her to stay put just a couple of weeks more.

Congrats on your 3rd trimester! How exciting! It sounds like you had a really important talk with your hubby and he actually listened. Now if it were always that easy ha ha :) Glad to hear all is well!

Bless you! congrats on moving into the 3rd trimester, doesnt time fly when you are having fun!!

My DH doesnt really connect with the baby either. I think for them its really difficult, for us we have reminders all day every day of the miracle happening inside, for our DHs there is a big belly which they need to talk to LOL! I am sure once the baby arrives, he will bond immediately and feel the love you have been feeling since the day you got your BFP x x

Hey sweetie! My hubby used to be like that too. But (lucky me) my doc is a woman and mom of a 10month baby and she "convinced" him not to mess with my prego brains...Ever since that lecture, when he comes home from work he gives me a big kiss and the next thing he does is to kneel before me place his head on my belly and say "Daddy is home...Where's my boy??" Sooooo sweet, I always cry.

Hey Wilmie - your not alone - all the pregnancy books I have read, talk about how all women feel their men are less interested in the Baby then they would like. My hubby has had a book called “What every expecting Dad should know” next to his bed for like 5 weeks, and has not opened it once. I have read it and let me to you I laughed so much. It’s by far the funniest thing I have read in a long time. Anyway in the book they explain that us women connect with Baby from the time we know its inside and that connection grows as baby grows, something they can not compete with or comprehend. They may see if, feel it on the surface but its all still so surreal. Hang in there Boks, I am betting My DH will be racing back home for his book the first chance he gets after baby is born. In a flat panic!! The best part is, its not a big book – I read it in one afternoon. So there is a gift idea for Fathers day. I will double check on the name and author if you would like. Enjoy week 27 - 1 week to go still though then only your in 3rd trimester. Its only a week - hang in there.
