One month to go to my c-section date on 31 July!!

Hi ladies

Can't believe I am already this far along. Feels like I only did the test yesterday. But now it seems like this next month is going to take forever! I am having a baby shower this Saturday. My sister is giving me one in Bloemfontein, the town where I lived until December last year. I have a lot of friends and family there so I can't wait to see everyone. And aparantly, they can't wait to see me either! Some of them haven't seen me with a bump yet so I am guessing everyone will be poking me, but that's okay. Just too bad it's a 4 hour drive down, but I'll live. I am still very comfortable and really can't complain. No stretch marks, heartburn, indigestion or anything like that. I don't even need to go to the bathroom at night. This pregnancy has really been a breeze, I am so lucky.

I had a dr appointment last week Wednesday and baby is doing fine. I am however measuring a bit big and the doctor said he thinks we need to do a c-section. I was expecting this, since I have had problems with my hips before. He says it can do serious damage if I give birth naturally. It's not such a big let down, since I thought it would happen. And since we live on a farm and rather far from hospital, it's nice to know there won't be a mad dash to the hospital. So I am scheduled for 31 July!! Baby still hasn't dropped any!

Dr isn't very pleased with me driving this far this weekend and he said it should be the last. So Sunday, I'll have to go shopping for everything I still need to get. My best friend, my mother and my sisters will be going along so it will be great fun. Don't know if hubby will join us... It would be nice if he does, but he tends to get frustrated if it takes too long. So I will let him decide.

It's is rather cold in SA and I am being very lazy at home. Hope you all have a great day!

Good to hear that you are doing so well, don't worry a c-section isn't so bad they give you loads of meds which helps for the pain you'll be up and moving in no time. Hope you have a great babyshower !!!

hey how exiting a month to go.. how big were u measuing just wondering because i was also told iam big too, im 34 wks as well but measuring at 37 wks an baby is 10 days bigger.. getting abit worried casue that also puts by date foward to the 31st july not 10th aug.. having another check next wk.. just getting closer an closer..

You sound very happy and so relaxed and ready! I'm freaking out and I have 4 months to go! Congrats on getting a delivery date, and I hope you have great fun at your shower! Mine is in 8 weeks and I cannot wait to see everyone! That's got to be my favorite part about it all, I never get to see them enough, I'm sure you can relate... Well enjoy the next 4 weeks and get some much needed rest in! :-)
