06-7-2009 - Baby shower and dr\'s visit

My mood while writing this blog:
Little worried but feeling great

So I finally had a baby shower this weekend. It was so much fun and I got soo many gifts. My sister really went thru a lot of trouble and everything was so pretty. She notified everyone that there will be a raffle and entrance fee is a packet of wetwipes or diapers and I got about 40 packets of wetwipes! My best friend made a diaper cake and it was so cute. I've never seen another one as cute! I also got so many cute outfits and everything else you can think of. Even a carpet for the nursery. I'll let you guys know when I've posted some pics.

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment. He told me to take it easy since it seems like my princess might be in a bit of a hurry. He says she is already starting to drop and 1st babies usually doesn't drop this early. Now I'm a bit worried. He says that if I can go another 2 weeks, it would be great. I have been feeling fine. I really can't complain about anything and I guess that's why I have been too busy. I am still running around all day and I even planted some seeds in my vegetable garden last week. Hubby almost freaked and now he's got his mother checking up on me daily! He thinks I should stay in bed until my due date but I still have soo much to do in the nursery. I finally bought everything and I can't wait to put it all together. And I want to wash all the baby clothes this week and I want to do it myself.

Does any of you know anything about 1st babies dropping early? I guess I should take it easy anyway and get my bags packed just in case. At least I bought my pj's and everything this weekend. Just need to find some slippers I like.

I read that this week the baby starts to drop, but your dr knows best. Try to relax and rest as much as you can x x

Ive been waiting for you to come post something about your baby shower. It sounds like it was a lot of fun, it's great that you enjoyed it. And try to take it easy, I am excited about you giving birth soon, but like they tell me "try to stay in bed let the baby cook a little more!" )))) will be waiting on your pictures. so glad you had a great time at your shower! I am sure it is hard to relax when you have so much fun stuff to set up now, but definitely take it easy. no need in rushing the baby...enjoy your last few weeks of being pregnant. I am sure it will fly by :)
