04-9-2009 - 5 Weeks Post Partum

My mood while writing this blog: Woohoo!

Can't believe Sumarie is already 5 weeks old today! I have sooo much to be thankfull for. She is such an easy baby and I am enjoying her soooo much!

So next week I have my 6 weeks post partum doctors appointment... Sumarie will also be getting her shots and I don't even want to think about THAT! Don't know how I am going to handle them hurting my baby. However, I don't have any other concerns about her. She is gaining weight steadily and doesn't have any problems with her formula. Her little legs are getting really chubby and she's got a double chin! So cute!

My biggest concern at the moment is getting the green light from the dr next week to resume my wifeley duties... LOL I know hubby is really anxious for this. My problem is... I just really don't feel sexy naked at the moment. I've got fat on my hips and my stomach is flabby. My breasts are also still leaking a bit. DH keeps telling me he thinks I look great for a new mother but I just don't feel it! I really can't complain actually. I am basically back to my pre-pg weight and I don't have any stretch marks. Every thing is just flabby.

So, the plan is: I am going to get myself some new sexy, flattering undies and buy some scented candles. Maybe this will give me a boost to feel better about my body.

Those of you who had kids before, did you find this difficult as well?

I deff undestand how you feel hun!! But I think you look amazing!! You don't even look like you gave birth only 5 weeks ago!!
