08-1-2009 - Pondering.... OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Hi Ladies, i need advice! Im worried about something, ok, i need to know is it bad to sleep on your stomach while pregnant? I ask this because, im at my 16th week today, and the only way i've ever been able to sleep is on my stomach! Well this mourning i woke up feeling bad about it and feeling pain on the lower left side of my stomach! Should i be concerned, what should i do!?

I thank you for this blog, because I'm 15wks and sleep on my stomach as well, and I have pains in the morning sometimes as well, so I hope that's not from me sleeping on my stomach.

Don't worry...the further you are along, sleeping on your stomach won't even be an option! I still sleep on my side but stuff blankets under so I can curl up some more but sometimes the baby pokes me to move...sometimes I wake up and I'm on my back, no need to be too worried, your body will tell you what's comfortable, it's completely normal to change positions in sleep.

Thats how i used to sleep, and some times i wake up in that same way still. But i do try to keep my self on my left side. x

Your body will tell you when it is not okay to sleep on your stomach. Don't worry about it. Not only that, but when it is time to stop sleeping on your stomach, it will happen naturally. You simply won't be able to whether just going to sleep or turning over IN your sleep. You aren't hurting yourself or the baby
