14-1-2009 - Ohhhh Nooooo!!

My mood while writing this blog:

Ok, Ladies, for those of you who know me pretty well since i've been on here, know my history of M/S! And how bad it was for me, and how i lost about 25lbs in 6wks!! Ok, so since the Christmas holidays i've been doin hella good and eating good too!Lol. About 3days ago i had a little vomit episode that i was ok with, because i was soooo grateful that i'd went this long without anything! Anywho, starting yesterday i've been back to vomiting the way i was before the holidays! I mean every time i eat are drink something, it's coming right back up, just like before!! I mean what the hell!!? I just put 7 of those 25lbs that i lost back on, now it's about to come right back off, and probaly plus more! So my question to you ladies is, Is This NORMAL!? I thought it was smooth sailing from this point on!

girl i understand. i was like that with my little boy. everything i put down came back up, even water. with the baby i only had m/s in the morning. i am almost 20 weeks and still have morning sickness sometimes. ask your doctor if she can give you something for it.

Hi! I just read your blog, and to let you know I know how you feel. I didnt lose any weight. But, EVERYTIME I ate something my first trimester...it would come right back up. It was so aggravating. And the worse is when I didnt even eat anything, and I would throw up air...I went to the ER and they gave me some type of white medicine called malox...I believe thats what she said it was. It would settle your stomach and whatnot. It worked really good too.

I think you should talk to your doctor about it. He/She may be able to give you something to keep the food down. I know many woman who lose weight before they gain. Stop worrying, stay positive.

OMG, Wonna I am so sorry. I too had weight issues in which I had a late start gaining due to both nausea and depression. I saw my OB a few hours ago, he was finally impressed with my 5lb weight gain. This is my first visit in which I have gained during my 18 weeks of pregnancy. I stressed out so much due to the fact that I had not gained a lb up until now which was very unusual compared to my first two pregnancies in which I gained 15 lbs in my first trimester. My heart goes out to you. What was your pre-pregnancy weight? How is your OB responding to your progress in your pregnancy? I wore a sterling silver bracelet my hubbie purchased from the GNC store especially for Nausea. It helped tremendously . A lot of times we attribute Vomiting to M/S only. It could also be other things. I vomited last night bcuz I swallowed something the wrong way, I new it was coming and I tried to keep swallowing to prevent it. Sometimes baby does not like the things we eat, it could be a host of things that make you sick. I am the biggest hyperchondriac even after 2 births. It does not take me much to start up the car and head to my OB's office or to the nearest hospital. As a Nursing Student I have learned that statistically pregnant women have a 2nd drop in HCG, the pregnancy hormone which can cause nausea again at 22 weeks, the first drop in levels being somewhere around 13 weeks. HEY GIRL U STILL SICK OVER THERE! WELL MY MORNING SICKNESS ENDED @18 OR 19 WEEKS! HOPEFULLY URS WILL BE OVER SOON! I WAS ON SOME MEDICINE WITH MY FIRST BABY CALLED ZOFRAN, ASK UR DOCTOR ABOUT IT! ITS REALLY EXPENSIVE THOUGH! LIKE 600.00 DOLLARS FOR 18 TABLETS! BUT ITS REALLY REALLY GOOD THOUGH! (I LOST ALOT OFWEIGHT JUST LIKE YOU!) ITS ACTUALLY USED IN CHEMO-THERAPY PATIENTS! IT HELPS THEM WITH THERE VOMITTING AND STUFF LIKE THAT!

I would talk to my doctor first and see if there is some medicine that they can prescribe for you. Because I was prescribed some medicine and it made me feel a whole lot better its different for everybody though some people on the meds would feel worst. I purchased a braclet that helps with motion sickness so that was pretty nice and I truly feel that it helped me. Well I lost about 7 lbs as well and gained it back in about two months plus more so losing weigh can be normal but you should still get checked. Maybe have your thyroid levels checked that has something to do with your weight. Hope this helps and dont stress to much.
