27-8-2009 - 37 week checkup

My mood while writing this blog:
Anxious

Monday I went in for my 37 week checkup...BP was good and I am still measuring right on track. I've gained a total of 26 pounds which puts me at 156! I got my (GSB) Strep B test done, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and everything came back negative :) I was kinda upset because I was supposed to meet up with my midwife & she wasn't in...so they told me that my next appt would be Sept 10th to meet with the midwife. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I'm due the 16th, what if I go into labor before then? and your not gonna have me come in to be checked to see if I'm dialating at all until I am almost 39 weeks WTF?? I was so irratated, but they said she won't be in until the 10th..so whatever!!!

Anyways, this morning around 4:20am I woke up to what felt like I kinda went pee in my pants. I was still half asleep so I wasn't sure what was going on...I got up, went to the bathroom and sure enough my panties were wet? I was like...hummmm?? so I sat down to use the bathroom and when I got up to wipe myself I notice light pink blood on the tissue, I look in the toilet and notice drops of light pink blood and at the bottom of the toilet was a glob of mucus kind of redish. So right away I thought to myself this must be my mucus plug? I laid back down and started getting contractions...not too bad at first, but some of them were pretty painful. I finally feel back asleep around 5:30am and woke up at 6:40am....went to the bathroom and had a lil bit of blood on my panties, I wiped myself and notice that I had alot of pinkish mucus. Ive been getting very light contractions on and off since then. Does this sound like it could of been my mucus plug? I think it was, but not too sure because this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what the mucus plug looks like?

Well ladies, I just wanted to up date on how things have been going......I'm starting to get really anxious to meet my lil man and scared about this whole labor thing..LOL =} Can't believe I only have 3 weeks left if not less!! ahhhh.....Hope all of you are doing good & labor dust to everyone whos almost due!! XOXO

girllll, u better call ur doc or go to the hospital, especially since ur panties were wet, kinda sounds like the water broke too!! i lost my MP and Water almost within minutes of eachother too!! then i had her same day, check to b sure, dont wait, better safe then sorry

i think its the mucas plug! i would call to be on the safe side :)

sounds like the mucas plug to me too! Time the contractions and the intensity of them. Id call the dr too just to be safe :o)
