02-12-2009 - Big Changes

My mood while writing this blog: Scared!!

Ok so good news first. Xavier had a 9 month appt today and he is 22 lbs and 28.3 inches long. Big boy right?? The doctor said he's doing great and advanced for his age, doing things one year olds do. I then proceeded to tell her he's still not sleeping in his crib and she looked at me like I was absolutely crazy! The time has come ladies to make that transition from co-sleeping to crib and I am totally scared out of my mind!! It's more out of safety than anything else seeing as he is now crawling and getting into EVERYTHING but it still makes me nervous. I think because I know he's going to scream bloody murder once he realizes mommy is not in the bed with him. It's really become quite ridiculous that I've dealt with this for so long. I haven't slept in the bed with my hubby hardly at all since Xavier has been born and I do NOT want it to begin to put a strain on my marriage, ya know?? Oh jeez!! The last thing I want is for Xavier to fall out of bed and hurt himself so I guess its really time to make the big change. They grow up so fast don't they?? We're starting him in his crib tomorrow seeing as DH has to be to work at 5 in the morning so say a prayer that I make it through the nights to come. I think the hardest thing will be not rushing into his room once I hear him cry but I have to be strong!! Lord help me, lol!! I think once he gets accustomed to his own crib it will make life easier for the entire family (I hope). Needless to say, I am not looking forward to tomorrow night!
