10-9-2009 - Xav's 6 Month Checkup HappyMy mood while writing this blog:
Happy

Today Xavier had his 6 month checkup (even though he'll be 7 months on the 18th) and everything went great. He weighs 20 lbs 8 oz and is now 26 3/4 inches long!! A big boy right?? Growing like a weed!! He also had to get another round of shots but he did great with them!! He cried at first and then looked at the guy like "you know I could kick your a** right"? Too cute. The pediatrician told us we should give him food for breakfast, lunch and dinner now and the bottle with cereal he was getting before bedtime is no longer necessary (like it was necessary in the beginning). I thought it would help him sleep better at night but as well all know, it hasn't so I might as well stop. He had developed a small rash on his belly of dry skin and had started to get some other dry spots and the dr said it was probably because of the Johnson and Johnson's baby products?! Has anyone else had problems with J&J?? I thought they were like the best baby stuff you could use but she said that she's seen some of the worst baby rashes due to J&J. She recommended that we switch to Aveeno which I will be starting tonight. Other than that, he's doing great! Developing well (slightly ahead with some things) and growing more every day. We couldn't be happier!

He is a growing boy, for sure.

Go Xavier! He is a big boy! Avenno is good stuff! We use that and other prescribed things because Dashaun has eczema. But I like Avenno, just watch out for scented things.
