| 13-5-2008 - Caiden's 6 month's checkup |  My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
OM, today was Caiden's 6 month's check up. He weighed 19 pounds and 9 ounces, was 28 inches long, and his head circumference was off the charts. The doctor was concerned and ordered an "ultrasound of his brain"...CT scan. I was a nervous wreck. I thought I could handle it on my own, it should have been just shots. NOT and I stupidly told my hubby he could go to work and I would take him this time by myself. I should have known, the last time I took him by myself they told me he may have a hole in his heart (thank goodness at least they didn't do the tests that day).
After my poor little man getting stuck and having to drink the Rotavirus medicine he had to go an get a CT scan. We got to the place and they hadn't even gotten it approved by the insurance company yet so we had to wait for what seemed like forever. 3 minutes before they were ready for him he fell asleep, thank goodness! He slept through the whole thing! WooHoo!
My friend at work came in my office when I got to work and asked if she could say a prayer for Caiden. Of course I wasn't going to turn down a prayer. We held hands and she said the sweetest prayer ever. I boohooed for about 10 minutes. Just the thoughts of all my "little man" has already been through at such a young age!
The doctor called me about 1:30 and told me everything was OK, just as he had suspected. He has fluid on the front part of his brain which hasn't been absorbed by the brain yet. This is supposed to correct itself within a year. I was so relieved I had to cry happy tears for about 5 minutes.
Thank goodness everything was OK!!!
