We went to the hospital today for an appointment with a consultant about Shell having a C-Section instead of a normal delivery. Shell suffered from SPD during the last pregnancy and it is very likely she will suffer it again, along with her scoliosis it won't be very nice for her. However, after a very brief chat with the consultant, he decided that because Shell had not been able to keep down food or water for 48 hours she should stay in hospital overnight for re-hydration. So we had to say a sad farewell this evening when I went home and Shell stayed in the hospital on a IV fluid drip and anti-sickness medication.

I hope that tomorrow morning she is feeling better and able to keep food down so that she can come home and we can be together again. I don't like her being ill and especially not in hospital by herself, but I know she is being looked after. I'll have to wait for news from her tomorrow because visiting hours don't start until 3pm. It seems like a long time to have to wait but I guess the patients need their rest.
