08-4-2009 - Induction at 35 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: itchy, sick

Well it seems my hyperemesis gravidarum has caused yet another problem, my liver has stopped working properly and I have a condition called Obstetric Cholestasis, its bile seeping in to my blood and making me very itchy. The problem this condition causes is that because my liver isnt taking all the poisons out of my blood, Poopa is getting poisoned blood. Anyway because of this and my severe hyperemesis they are going to induce me on 20th April 2009 (at 35 weeks) OMG he is going to be over a month early!!

I am very scared, he is a good size so I'm sure he'll be fine. If they dont get him out soon the risk of stillbirth increases by a lot, so obviously I would rather he came out a bit small than the unthinkable happen! I am soo nervous though! My pregnancy with Sarah was fairly easy and I had a fairly straightforward birth, so i've never been induced before.

I do feel like a complete failure though, I wish I could be a blooming pregnant woman and carry to full term!! I want to enjoy pregnancy, and i'm a lil distressed that I cant.

Hyperemesis has been blimming awful there was a two week period where I was in hospital for drips three times. Its rediculous, I just can't keep anything down and my ketones go soaring up! To top it off the itching is insane...still it'll all be over soon so I shouldnt complain!
