| 02-11-2009 - POOPA!!!!! (summary of what happened and pics) | My mood while writing this blog:alright |
Joshua is now 6 months old and doing really well!!! He came out of NICU a while later, we had a few scares because a few days in his condition started declining but he pulled through and came home at 10 days old. It was an awful but amazing experience all at the same time because even tho he was so ill it was amazing to see him get stronger and fight it!!
He actually had premature lungs and group b strep infection. I am so annoyed at our nhs doctors i said all along i was worried about him being induced at 35 weeks its even in my previous blogs. Turned out i was right! They really should have scanned me before inducing me to see whether i needed steroids to mature his lungs!! Oh well he is fine now and thats all that matters. For the first 3 weeks we struggled with breastfeeding but in the end had to give up because he was too lazy from where he had depended on the feeding tube.
Until about 4 months we struggled with other various health probs with him, he had bad colic and really bad reflux which he was on 3 different meds for. He also and heart murmer and umbilical hernia but as soon as he turned 5 months everything seemed to get better and hes really healthy now, still a bit sicky but other than that nothin which is great!
His development is bit slow but we were told to expect that as he was prem. For example he only rolled over at 5 months old and hasnt sat up yet despite being 6 and a bit months. I dont really mind tho cos i know he is going to catch up and its quite nice having him as a 'baby'. Sarah grew up so fast and before i knew it she wasnt a baby anymore.
