17-9-2008 - Hospital apt + Update

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

Went to the Hospital to pre-register for labor and delivery. They asked a lot of questions to get ready for the big day. They told me about their security for the baby and all of that. They actually have a transmitter on the clamp for the umbilical cord for every baby. This way they can tell where the baby is and if it goes out of a certain range then an alarm goes off. Pretty impressive. She told me what to do and where to go when I go into labor. She gave me literature on circumcision, breast feeding, and hospital policies…things like that. They offered to start my baby on Hepatitis B shots. Which they said he will need in order to start school anyway. I have not decided yet so, I am going to make an apt or just call the pediatrician I picked out and discuss what I should do. I will probably go ahead and do it. They set up the paper work for his birth certificate and social security card. I can still change his name if I need to but you don’t sign for everything of course, until the baby arrives. I didn’t have to fill out anything but did sign a lot of papers and answer questions. It made me more excited to see my little man!! I can’t wait to hug and kiss little Isaiah!!

Other than that all is well. 30 Weeks tomorrow!!! YaY!! Still have sciatic nerve/back aches and very tired at times. My Child/Birth classes start next Tuesday, very exciting!! He still moves around a lot! I can get 10 kicks/movments in 5 mins!! I love that he is so active. It gives me peace of mind. : )
