My mood while writing this blog: Exhausted

Went to my doctor apt this morning and it was rather exhausting. Went in and though there was no protein in my urine doctor was concerned about my blood pressure (140/84). I gave her the same speech I give to all the doctors about my “white coat syndrome”. She then checked baby’s heart beat and my cervix. Which by the way is still closed L How depressing. However, it is thinning out. Then she said she wanted some blood work done and told me to get dressed. So I get dressed and nurse comes in and checks blood pressure one more time. And usually it goes down so I was not worried. But, it stayed the same. So, the doctor comes in and tells me that the doctor in Labor & Delivery is expecting me. She wanted me to get blood work done there and get monitored. So I call my mom and she takes me there (I did not want to be alone).

Got to the hospital and they hooked me up to a contraction and baby heart monitor. They took my blood to check my kidneys and pancreas for any toxemia or pre-eclampsia symptoms or signs. Well 2 ½ hours later all tests come back great! They also had me hooked up to a blood pressure machine that took my blood pressure every 10 minutes. It went from 140/80 to 110/55 while I was there. I have been logging my blood pressure at home but I know they just want to be cautious. I am so glad everything checked out but they told me that if one thing would have been just even a little bit out of whack they would have induced me. I guess no baby for husband’s birthday tomorrow. Oh well…. When Isaiah is ready he will come out. Needless to say, it was an interesting morning. Next apt is 11/21 @ 8:30a.
