08-1-2009 - Update

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Hey ladies!! I hope all is well! We have the Internet at home now (my hubby gave in) so I will be checking in ever so often. However, with a 5-½ week old we will see when I have time. Being a mom is so amazing and challenging. Nobody could ever prepare someone about the new life as a mom. I did have the “baby blues” after I came home from the hospital and it lasted for about 4 days. Isaiah went from sleeping every 2 hours to now sleeping 6 hours then 4 at night. He is such a lovable little guy! He is my world. It so cute to watch John with him. He had gas bubbles a lot in the beginning that would keep him up a lot. Then we discovered Mylicon drops. However now he is doing much better on his own. I love being his mother and I look forward to every new day. I am always excited to see what he will do next and what each day will bring.

I went to the doctor on 12/19 for a follow up. My blood pressure was 114/64 (EXCELLENT), I lost all of my baby weight and am back to my pre-preganacy weight, I can start working out, and everything is healing well!

Best of luck to those that are still pregnant…enjoy every minute…including your sleep J Word of advice, don’t wish away your last weeks, enjoy them! Life is so different with a new bundle of joy and is so life altering. Just enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong I love being a mother but don’t rush time.
