| 30-3-2009 - First Scan |  My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
I had my first scan done today. I was so nervous and worried after having three previous miscarriages. I seen the heartbeat!!! I never seen the heartbeat before. That little flicker on the screen just made my heart skip a beat.
They ended up changing my dates. My new Due date is Nov 19th instead of Nov 14th. I knew they would do that because I had ovulated late. So I am now 6 weeks and 3 days. I feel soo much better after seeing it. I have to go back in two weeks for another scan because of my history of miscarriage. They just want to make sure everything is going good. I sure dont mind that one bit each scan makes me feel better!
Ok ladies this is my worry... Please advice.... The heart beat was at 132. I thought the heartbeat should be 140-150??? I asked the ultrasound tech and she told me it's fine. I dont know, I have heard its fine before on my last one when they couldnt find a heart beat that I ended up miscarrying. Please would love to hear your thoughts on this.
I posted a picture of todays scan in my photo album. It's really gainy but its' my little peanut!! : )

That rate is fine. Aydan's was at 112 at 6 weesk the heart beat will keep increasing until you hit 8 to 9 weeks and then it should stay steady. Aydans ended up staying at about 160 to 170 the whole time after 8 weeks.

Bet your really chuffed. You had a scan early! im 7wk 4 days, Having 2 m/c i thought they would have given me a scan already, like i said in my blog, doc's dont seem to be bothered here were i live. I have to have 4 m/c before they keep a close eye on me.. Stupid and heartless. Anyhoo good luck hun, take care

my scan at 7w3d was 154bpm and so far so good. I go back tomorrow for another u/s.

It's early! 132 is great! My boy had a HB of 135 for most of my pregnancy! Congrats to you!
