10-12-2009 - Leaving IAP this weekend :o(

Well, it's confirmed. I get my tubes tied next Friday, the 18th. The other day, I thought "I can't imagine having 5 kids, so I know I'm done." But I just found out my friend is pregnant with her 6th and I have heard a few say, "you're not having anymore?" So, now I am kinda sad that I will never have babies again. But honestly we can't afford to have anymore kids. I always wanted 2 boys and 2 girls, and now I do. My husband said he doesn't think we should have anymore. Even if I chose to have more, I would like to wait at least 4 more years. But by then I'll be like 37. I know after 35 women sometimes have complications, and you have to have that amnio done. I have enjoyed giving birth. I think that is the most wonderful feeling, is to bring life into the world. Ya sure the kids get on the nerves when they don't listen, but I would never regret having them. I loved every minute (well, except the morning sickness, LOL) of all 4 of my pregnancies and loved giving birth to them. My doctor said yesterday "now no sex until 6 weeks post partum/till tubal ligation, if you get pregnant before the tubal, then it won't do you anygood to get the surgery!" haha..Anywho. Good luck to all those TTC I send you trucks load of sticky baby dust. To those who will have more babies in the future, to those waiting to give birth any day now, I wish you all luck too! I have enjoyed being on this site and finding such nice friends. I will delete my profile on this site this weekend. i totaaly agree with you!I have easy pregs and births and i enjoy it all. i think it is sad cuz its a chapter in our lives that needs to end but its hard to say that part of our lives are over and we need to move on....I would have more but my hubs doesnt and well i have to respect that too.4 kids is alot and im glad to have 4 but i guess i have to call it quits to keep me sane!!! I soo feel the same way you do!

I know exactly how you feel, my husband goes for his vacactomy tomorrow. I know we don't want anymore children nor could we afford to have a larger family but part of me is sad knowing I'll never be pregnant or give birth again.

FYI you don't HAVE to have an amnio done over age 35 - I had my baby last year when I was 38 and simply refused these tests. I know more mom's with Downs babies under 30 than I do over 35 BTW.

dont leave..=(..lol...u dont have to get your tubes tied..u could get on mirena BC..u could change your mind about having more babies..my husband was going to get fixed,but thats not happening now.well see ya on myspace..
