24-4-2008 - Things going smooth

Breastfeeding has been going good so far.. just when I thought I was going to give up.. just lookng at my daughter reminds me that I can do it.. I pray asking the Lord for strength and he has been answering my prayers.. I feed her with a clear and sound mind I thought I stopped making milk because my breast were not as full as they were when all this began.. but she has been feeding every 2 to 3 hours so I guess she is emptying my breast from time to time. Her dad feeds her too.. when ever I feel too full in the breast to feed her (because if I feed her with a full breast she will choke because it gushes into her mouth like a fire hose) I get the earliest dated milk I stored in the freezer, thaw it out and her dad makes her bottles while I pump till my breast are not heavy and full.. I was feeling bad when her dad was not feeding her because she was always with me and I asked him if it bothered him since he doesn't feed her much .. he tells me it doesn't bother him he is actually happy she is eating her mom's milk.. he also reminds me how good it is for her and what I should eat and what I shouldn't lol. He is a great soulmate I love him so much and seeing that we now have 2 little ones it is awesome. God is good I am glad he has blessed my family. I forgot to write this but 2 nights ago I gave Ahriana her first bath.. it thought she was going to scream her little head off like the way my first did.. so I get her bath nice and warm and bubbly for her.. I get her naked and she lets out this little whine as if she was saying "okay mom whats going on??" I put her legs first in the water and her eyes go wide than she starts licking at her lips lol! I slowly get the rest of her body in talking to her at the same time and rubbing water on her body... she starts licking away at her wet hands and wrist lol it was so so cute! She enjoyed her first bath although she cried she was pulled out.. I guess she wanted to stay a bit longer. Now she is resting in her bassinet next to me.. she gave me some time to tend to myself and eat a little something.. I had a chicken thigh (crispy) some corn and a small portion of potatoes.. my husband is on his way home with a big mac and fries for me... let me tell you breastfeeding makes you super hungry and thirsty.. I believe I am losing more weight from breastfeeding because I got on the scale and was 2 pounds under pre-pregnancy weight! woo hoo... soon I have to get some new clothes because my jeans are fitting a bit loose. She is up now have to feed!
