22-9-2008 - Drs app./Shopping!

My mood while writing this blog: Thrilled

I had my 24 week appointment today! I have one more app. (week 28) and then I get to go every two weeks.. I guess they start the two week visits at 30 weeks. Which is okay with me :) I like to hear his heartbeat! The appointment went well and his heartrate has slowed a bit to the 150s. Joel has a very strong heartbeat. He is kinda underweight.. he's in the lower 45th percentile which isn't horrendously underweight! She told me to start having a protein shake everyday to try to get his weight up. Robin (one of my mid-wives) said that since he gained 10oz in the last 6 weeks he is growing and catching up. I know I wasn't eating the best when I first got pregnant. I didn't realize I was pregnant until I was more than halfway to my second trimester. I was dealing with a really sick chihuahua (my Molly Baby) and wasn't hungry and wasn't taking my vitamins. I just hope that he is able to catch up and my non-eating and drinking didn't effect him.. I worry about it. I am normally pretty healthy and ate well pre-pregnancy so perhaps the few weeks that I didn't eat so well.. maybe he was eating my stores lol I'm hopeing anyways!

I measured two weeks behind today but she said my uterus is actually pretty big. It's not growing up so much but out side to side. He is still breech- Robin felt his head on the side of me. She said that he has plenty of time to move and that there is plenty of room in there.. that's why he is laying sideways.. because he can lol. She said that he is right on track and was actually surprised that he is already on a regular wake/sleep schedule. I try to keep my schedule the same most days so he is probably just taking after momma already lol :o)

I went shopping today.. thrift stores!! I love thrift stores and haven't been able to go shopping in awhile. I went to three thrift stores.. target (for a shelf).. walmart (hangers.. going to need them now!).. and goodwill. I got fantastic deals and found a fabulous stack of clothes at goodwill. I just had to take pictures of all the stuff I got.. I was really blessed today! Almost new condition.. no stains or anything. Most of the stuff hardly looks worn! I found 57 pieces of clothing.. 3 stuffed animals.. 3 blankets.. 1 headrest for a carseat.. 2 lil booties sets.. 11 books.. 11 hats.. 5 bibs.. and one diaper cover. All for about $93 bucks.. I couldn't believe it when I found all the clothes (majority of the stack) at goodwill!

The stack of clothes.. it's a big pile lol. All I need to get now clothes wise is some of those little white baby tee-shirts and some white onezies for around the house. Oh and some socks.. he doesn't have many socks yet. But otherwise he is now GOOD on clothes lol!

Oh and something embarassing happened today.. when I was shopping (after my app.) My boob leaked! I have noticed when I wake up in the morning that there is some stuff on my shirt from overnight.. but it hasn't happened during the day yet. I was quite flustered... lol I didn't know what to do! I was wearing a tanktop without a bra so it was noticable! I guess the days of no bra are gone lol I'm not going through that again! Ah the joys of pending motherhood?
