08-4-2009 - 38weeks n dialating

My mood while writing this blog: GROSS

Ok for all of you ladies that i have kept in suspense....I went to my appt. today and was about 90% effaced still but am dialatle over a 3. Thats good news but babies head has decided to unengage and is about a -3. He was engaged at one point but doc says it is not uncommon for them to unengage if it is your second or more pregnancy due to the pelvis being looser. However i am measuring 42 1/2cm. I only grew a 1/2cm (thank god) since last week but they are still estimating him to be rather large so we will see. I have been cramping and spotting quite a bit since the appt. Nothing major but just uncomfortable. I am soooo f***ing discusted with the scale tho. I gained another 3 pounds in one week which is freaking rediculous. Doc says not to worry cause i am pretty swollen in the hands, legs and feet but it is just hard for me to believe that it is 3lbs of water. I have been really working my ass off at the gym these past two weeks in hopes to stop the scale from jumping up and i guess thats what makes it soooo damn depressing. Im scared to know what it woulda been if i hadnt been working out. Good news is......due to the size of the baby, we are setting up an induction date if I have not delivered by my next wednesday appt. Well i hope all of you beautiful mommies are doing well. Yah....were gonna see a babay soon:) I cant believe how time has flown....well to me...lol Im sure time is standing still for you..lol..I remember when I was in your shoes...I felt like I was gonna be prego forever!

Is he going to induce you even if your baby is not engaged? My doc told me she cant induce until he is engaged...i was not happy as she then wants to cut:(

ooohhh how exciting your nearly there, wont be long till u forget all the noncence pregnancy brings and you will be lookin down at your little man, i really admire you for goin to the gym!!! dont know how u do it. you should have a really easy labour.
