Daniel`s birthstory

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 around 10:30pm i started to have slight contractions. They were lasting 1-2 minutes long and about 4 minutes apart. About 11:30pm we thought my water had broke. It never gushed but slowly dripped out. we called the hospital and they wanted us to come in, and see. we arrived at the hospital about 12:30am and got the news my water did break, so we got admitted into the hospital. we were patiently waiting, while i was hooked up to a machine that watched my contractions, baby`s heartbeat, and my blood pressure. but after about 24 hours, the doctor came in and said my water hadn`t broke, but he would break it then, they also started pitocin at this point. about 10 minutes later i started having HORRIBLE contractions they were rated a 9 or 10 with 10 being the worst. I continued to have these contractions until about 2 hours later when i got my epidural, during the process of getting the epidural i passed out, my heart rate was 146. when i woke up everything was fine, i ended up taking a nap- but when i woke up everything from my ribs and down was so numb that the nurses had to move me...i couldn`t do anything. Now around 7am on Thursday November 12th i started to push with the nurse that was there while we waited for my doctor to come. now at 10:30am the doctor decided i couldn`t push any longer, because his head couldn`t fit into my birth canal, after using the suck shin tool and everything. So we had to take a different route and have an emergency c-section. My husband watched the whole process of pulling the baby out. They then had him out at 12:57am and showed me him i started to cry then they had to wheel him away from me :(.
