Presley's birthstory

On Sept. 22nd 2008, I got to the hospital at about 6am for my scheduled C/S (since my daughter was breech). After getting changed into my gown, getting an IV, and signing consents I spoke with my dr's, and headed to the OR a little after 7:30 am.
My husband wasnt allowed to come back until i was set up. That was hard for me, i got very scared once i walked back there bc everyone was rushing around getting set up, it was freezing, and they were all talking so loud i could barely hear what the anesthesiologist was telling me.
The nurse that was suppose to be helping through was preoccupied with something else so i had to guess i was doing everything right, and i had to talk myself out of a panic attack! i was just so scared the epi wasnt gonna work, or something would happen and i'd get hurt from the process or something, i just wanted to hop off the table and say "Umm, never mind i dont want to do this afterall! thanks anyways..." lol
i needed my husband so bad, i felt like a little kid and wanted to start sobbing and say "I want STEEEEVEEEENNN!!!" lol
i talked myself out of crying and quicker than i thought, the epi was in and starting to take effect....
They prepped me, placed the catheter, and determined i was numb enough to start. The dr's came in and we waited on Steven to come in. Once i heard them walking him to me, i felt alot better, and we started.
i'm not sure how long it took, but within minutes, the anesthesiologist was telling us that we were about to be parents..
i felt a tug and this wave of pressure leave my body, then some coughs and gags, then the most beautiful sound in the world....my baby's first cry.....
She was born at 8:10am, 7lbs 4oz, 19 inches long, and LOTS of hair!!
I started sobbing the minute i saw her....i couldnt believe it...i'm a mommy<3
