Emmah-Kae-Formigoni`s birthstory

Well at about 8am on sunday July 19th I got up for about the 10th time to use the restroom. Well after I stood up i felt a slight cramp and all of the sudden water was gushing EVERYWHERE! I sat there on the toilet for a second and thought I definitly am not using the potty.. lol i opened the bathroom door yelled to my hubby still laying in bed `baby i think my water just broke` he hoped out of bed and said `really` so i got ready to go to the hospital just when i thought my water was done it continued to gush..bleh. well didnt even grab my bags or anything off to the hospital we went! Got there, mind you i was in total shock due to the fact i havent had any labor pains or anything, so i got to the hospital and they got me back to the little room to be checked, and about 2 hours after I got there the midwif came into check me and just thought i was crazy b/c I was in no pain i guess she thought I was lying or something. so she said `is the pad under you wet` and i said yes, and she said well i guess we could take a look to see if there was any fluid coming from that area, and so when she got down there sure enough she said yeap your water definitly broke, ask me when my last cervical exam was and i told her ive never had one its been 3 weeks since my last apt. she just looked at me and than checked me i was only 1cm and 70 percent effaced.. so they got me admitted i felt bad cause like 2 curtains down the women is screaming and shes at 3cm and her water hadnt broken so they were sending her home.
well than i got to my room and i still wasnt contracting so they started the pitocin. and kept upping it, about 2 hours later i was contracting so bad it was awful, and i asked for IV drugs, well the midwife wasnt going to check me but decided to and I was at 4CM so they got the spi ready. and oh after that epi i was on cloud 9 it was great.
well about 3 hours later, i was at 6 and than got to 8 and they didnt check me again till 1000 pm and i was at 10cm, i started pushing at 1040, i was pushing to no extreme, she did not wanna come out, so an hour later still pushing and pushing, they couldnt complain about my pushing cause i was doing a great job. her head was turned to whee it didnt want to come out..so at 120am they wanted to do the vacuum i was terrified, was told of the risk, gave it a shot, so after doing the vacuum once and it popped off her head and blood flew everywhere i started screaming so bad, my mom was, my MIL was and my hubby was devastated, i just kept saying dont hurt my baby girk. so they did it again for the 2nd time, and after that I yelled STOP NO MORE and the midwife said ok cause she did not want to come out, and told them to get eeryone together for the csection, i had abot 20 people in my room when thy did the vacuum from the NICU, so than they got me ready for the csection, before the section they said dont ever let anyone tell you, that you didnt give birth vaginally because you did better than alot of people do she just didnt want to come out.
so im just bawlng my eyes out getting ready for the section. they kept taking a needle across my arm and said let me know if you feel this here and would scrap it on my belly,, and i felt so after 3 times they sedated me, my hubby said they gave me morphine,ketamine, all sorts of stuff, i was so doped up i litterally thought I was in heaven i had no idea what was going on.. and my husband told me after that it was a good thing because it was awful. he said the baby came out blue with the cord around her neck and it took them one min and 34 sec to get her to cry and he was so worried for her and I. but i have pictures of me kissing her after the section and i dont remember them at all. by the time they got me back to the LDR the meds were startii g to ware off surprisingly. than i saw my 6lb 2oz beautiful baby girl, i had never been so in love in my lifel she was perfect worth all the pain!!! it was just a very rough night, and im actually recovering quite well. Emmah and I are doing great:)
