Addison-Sophia`s birthstory

Well i had been having small contractions but nothing unusual off and on all day saturday and i just wasn`t feeling myself. Went to bed that night and woke up at 3 in the morning all the sudden with a pretty painful contraction, thinking it was nothing i went to the bathroom and i had lost my mucous plug plus i had another contraction. Contractions started coming pretty close like 2-3 minutes so my mother in law came over to stay with our son and we were off to the hospital. When we arrived i was dialated to a 4. By the time they got us in a room i was a 6 and i was having tons of back labor so i requested an epidural. Stayed at 6 for 3 hours so the doctor recommended we do pitocin so we did that. About 15 minutes later my nurse came in and said the babies heart was fluctuating so she gave me oxygen and said she needed to check me. I was already 9 1/2 . She called my doctor to come and when the doctor came in the room they said i was 10 and the babies head was crowning. I was very emotional because everything was happening so fast. It took me 15 minutes to get from a 6 to 10! The doctor told me to push and said she couldn`t believe it but the babies head was already coming out. I gave 4 more pushes and her shoulder got stuck but she came right out. It was a great experience because i got to immediatley hold her and i wasn`t in any pain. After she was born they cleaned her and did everything they needed to in my room so after that i got to spend her first hour with her and when it was time for me to move to my room they took me in a wheel chair and i got to take her to the nursery myself! It was the best experience and we are so grateful to have our little Addison Sophia here!
