so, here`s my story...

i went to work like normal on monday june 15th and left at 2 for my 2:30 38 week appt. i was having irregular contractions all day that seemed to be getting a little more painful as the day went on, but i was going to the doc anyway and was just gonna wait it out. i go in expecting to not have made anymore progress then the week before and when she checked me she tells me i`m 5 almost 6cms!!!! i am shocked and she tries to decide what to do with me...she told me that they didn`t really like to induce labor until 39 weeks, but she was afraid if she sent me home i would just be going back to the hospital anyway. so she sends me over...i call hubby at work and tell him to meet me at home and that it`s time for us to possibly have a baby!!! i wasn`t in a huge rush and figured if i had some time i would get a shower and make sure i had everything ready...so off we go and we arrive at L&D and yet AGAIN, the nurse there is trying to decide what to do with me...she thinks that i should go right back to a delivery room, but has to take me back to a triage room instead. she hooks me up to all the monitors and tells me that if they decide NOT to keep me to go out to my car and have sex and my water would prob break and then just come right back in haha, but she was pretty confident that i was not going anywhere...as i`m laying there i have a HUGE contraction which my doc sees on some monitor that he`s watching in some unknown area of the hospital and he calls up to the nurse and says, `we`re keeping her.` so i`m pretty nervous now cause this is really happening!!! they take me back to my room, get me all hooked up again and about an hour after that i get my epidural. a hospitalist comes in and says she`s gonna check me and break my water, so she fishes around down there and tells me i`m 6cms and breaks my water...about 2 hours later my gyno doc comes in and checks me again and says i`m the same and my water was NOT broke...i`m now thinking this is gonna be forever!!! WTF...stupid ass hospitalist!!!! he breaks my water...for real this time and after that it went soooo fast! i dilated from 6-10 cms in like 45 mins...so all i needed was my water to break!!! i pushed for like 1/2 hour and my little man was born at 10:56pm weighing 7lbs 9oz and was 20in!!!! he is such a content little guy and i`m soooooo in love! and as some of you may know...i was only off by 1 hour on the date that i thought jason was to arrive...for months i thought that he was coming on the 16th of june...oh well, one day early...not too bad ;)
