Lily-Ireland`s birthstory

After having many complications late in pregnancy which included gestational diabetes, preterm labor, high blood pressure and elevated liver enzymes I was told on Thursday March 20th that I would be induced the next morning. They began pitocin at 8am and it really didn`t make the contractions I was having any stronger or more regular. At 11:15am they broke my water and it was very quick from that point on... I got my epidural and my nubain and in a matter of about a half hour went from 4cm to a full 10cm. Approx 20 minutes of pushing and my Lily was here! Her cord was around her neck but was cut quickly. She was born approx 5 weeks early so she had some struggle breathing at first but that was resolved in about an hour and she has been doing great ever since!!
