Summer`s birthstory

So about 11pm on Tuesday 22nd i started to get niggly pain but nothing to write home about and that continued through Wednesday but again nothing regular just little twinges throughout the day. My partner got home from work at 9pm and asked how i was feeling and i said i'm sure i'm going to go into labour either today or tomorrow and he was like yeh ok you seem fine. Anyways went to bed and couldn't settle and my twinges seemed to be getting worse. Got up to go to toilet and had a lot of mucus with a bloody show!!!!! Went and woke Jon up and he asked how i felt and i said fine, so we decided to wait and see if anything else happens. Went back to bed still unable to sleep and about 2am my waters broke with alot more mucus and blood. The contractions were not strong so i decided to go back to bed and wait till they were getting regular and about 3 minutes apart. By 4pm the contractions were bang on 3 minutes apart and it was then that i phoned my mother in-law who is my midwife. She started to freak out as i'd left it 2 hours after my waters broke and she came straight down the house to take me to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital i had all the usual checks and i was contracting every 3 minutes and baby was doing well. Due to the baby being breech i knew i had to have a c-section and the the team come down to see me and see how i was progressing. They did a vaginal exam and i was in active labour and 2-3cm dilated. There was another ladie waiting for a c-section so i had to wait untill she had her baby unill i could go to theater. At 9 am after 7 hours of labour it was my turn to have my baby!!!!! Went down to theater had the spinal block and at 9:35am baby summer was born!!!!!!
