Arrived for induction at 07:30am, we were in a room by 08:00 and pitocin was started by 08:30. I was 3cm and 75% efaced when we arrived. I told the nurse with my last child pitocin made her heart rate drop and the doc said he would break my water first and see how it goes before starting pitocin. Well she didnt listen and they tried piticon, her heart rate dropped within 30 minutes so the lowered the amount and made me roll on my side. My contractions had started but werent very regular, so by 10:30 & 3 trys with piticon starting and stoping they decided to break my water and keep the pitocin going at a very small amount(with my 1st when they broke my water her head was blocking it and nothing came out so I had no idea what it felt like) Every contraction I had a gush would poor out of me and the nurse would not change the pad, it continued gushing until I delivered. I was dialated 4-5 by this time and 75% efaced, and her heart rate dropped to under 90, I decided to get my epidural at this time and OMG I was scared to death because with my 1st child the girl doing the epi was a bitch and missed the spot 3 times, it was horrible, but this guy was great he did it in a few secs with little pain and I was feeling great 10 minutes later. They stopped the pitocin and the contractions started coming really strong. At 01:30pm the nurse checked me and I was 7-8cm and 75%. At 02:30 I was 9.5 and 95% the nurse made me push to see if she could get me to 100%. At 02:55pm the nurse came back and checked I was at 10cm and 100% so they said I can start pushing. I pushed for 21 minutes like 5 big contractions and she was out. It was so much easier than my first I didnt rip or get cut so I had no stiches this time and her head was only 9cm so I didnt even need to dialate fully. She is absolutly the most bueatiful thing in the world.
