Eden-Marie`s birthstory

Sunday, March 30th - I started getting cramping on and off at about 11am. I seriously just though I had to use the restroom but when I would try, nothing would happen. I continued on my day not really thinking about it because I didnt want to get my hopes up too high just in case it wasnt the real deal I was hoping for.

I was actually at my moms doing laundry - because Sunday is our weekly laundry day. We went to Target around 1:30 and I because to notice there was more of a pattern to the cramping. At this point they were about 10 minutes apart. We continued shopping and then got home to continue doing laundry. By about 3:30 they were getting to be more like 5- 7 minutes apart. I walked down to my neighbors house at about 5 to pick up some bread (the dad works for a bread company so i always get free bread and doughnuts) Kept having to lean over because of the cramps.

Mom told me i better get home to Andrew ( fiancee) and call the hospital if they continue. I got home, called the hospital at 7. they told me to call back at 8 with an update. I did. They said I could come in and that I would only be admitted if I was 4cm. We got there at about 8:30. Turns out i was in between 3 and 4 and they let me stay. I continued to have the contractions which kept getting worse (obviously). At about 2am on March 31st, I got a dose of nubain(sp?) which was great. Loved it. A few hours went by and at 4:20am i was ready to push! I pushed for 20 minutes and Eden was born at 4:41am! :) She was 8lbs 1oz and 20 inches long and beautiful.
