This daughter came to me through foster care, but I always knew she was coming. We started our foster care journey 1yr to the day she was placed. I know exactly what I was doing the moment she was born. I was at a wedding when a little girl came up and asked me if I was a princes. As I looked at her it suddenly hit me that I would be adopting a little girl with brown hair and brown eyes. The day she came to the notice of the courts I had a voice in my head all day keep telling me the children in my home had to return to their parents because my daughter is coming, they went home 1 week before Adriana was placed with me. The day the agency called they didn't even know if the baby coming was a boy or girl.. but I knew... it was my little girl with brown hair and brown eyes.

Tristan`s birthstory

I entered the hospital to be induced and found out the `bladder infection` pain I`d been having for a couple of days was actually contractions! When I arrived they were already 4.5 minutes apart, but mild. I was given meds to thin my cervix but nothing to induce contractions since I was having them anyways.

After laboring for 18hrs with no pain relief I was only 1cm dilated and 1cm effaced I was begging for any relief. My contractions for over 2hrs were continuous, no let up according to the monitor and according to the pain! Doc wanted to give me Petosin but I didn`t want it without an Epidural. Doc refused an epidural unless I effaced to a 2cm, I can`t `make` myself dilate. I then requested a c-section. I had to be taken in for the c-section via the hospital bed because I couldn`t walk there.

My hubby video taped the c-section, but I haven`t watched it yet.

Tristan is wonderful and exactly what I had hoped he would be.
