Noah-Parker`s birthstory
Well, as most of you know, Noah Parker Julian was born on August 1, 2009 at 10:07am, weighing in at a whooping 9lbs 6oz nd 22 1/2 inches long!!! I know he sounds like a chunker, but hes very long and very skinny!!! Early Saturday morning I started having regular contractions, and held out for a few hours before heding to the hospital at 6:00am!!! When I got there I was already 5cm, and in full blown active labor!!! So after gettin all set up in our room and waiting about an hour ot two, I was ready for the epidural. Well, when they came in to check me again, I was 7cm, but they wnted to do an ultrasound because they couldn`t feel his head!!! Well, it turns out that the litttle buger decided to turn, and he was sideways, so they had to give me the bad news of a c-section!!!! I was so upset, but what else could they have done!!! So, c-section it was!! They prepped me all up, gave me a spinal, got me strapped to the table, and Sean by my side they started the c section. Well, because of how big Noah is, and the position he was layin in, they had to do alot of pushing and pulling and tugging and who knows what. In the end, my uterus ended up tearing in like a million different places, so much so that they almost had to give me a hysterectomy!!! Very scary!! But in the end they ended up saving my uterus and putting in a million and one stiches!!! I lost alot of blood....way to much blood....way more blood than any of the doctors even realized. So when they finally wheeled me back to my room, I was shaking uncontrollably, throwiing up, nd my stats were all over the place!!! My heart rate was through the roof, my blood pressure way to low, my blood count way to low, and the next thing I know, there are serisouly 20 doctors and nurses running around my room, rushing around me, doing who knows what!!! I was really out of it and I didn`t know what was really going on, but the next thing I know, I`m being wheeled up to ICU, only being able to glance at Noah for a brief second. So, I was stuck up in ICU for 2 days, being monitored, pumped with all kinds of stuff, and who knows what. Sean wasn`t aloud to stay the night with me there, so I had to be by myself, and because I was in ICU, they couldn`t bring Noah up for me to see him. Thankfully my parents and my inlaw and Sean took lots of pictures to brought them up for me to see!!! After 2 days of being in ICU I finally got wheeled back down to my regular room , and I finally got to start my bonding time with Noah!!! I was so excited!!! I was alittle worried about how he would take to breast feeding because right away they had to suppliment with formula and obviously they had to feed him something while I was in ICU..but after alittle bit of work, he caught right on and now hes pro!!!! So, after spending 5 days in the hospital, I got to come home!!! Its nice to be home nd Noah is doing great!!! Hes very mellow, sleeps great, eats great, and had 2 times during the day where hes actually awake for longer than 20 minutes!! lol And lucky for me, those 2 times are during the day, so we`ve been gettin sleep!!!
